The San Jose Sharks announced today that they’ve re-signed forward Noah Gregor to a one-year contract. The deal is worth $950,000, according to CapFriendly.

Gregor is 24 years old and has played 121 games with the Sharks over the last three seasons. This past season, the forward scored eight goals and 23 points in 63 games, a pace of 10 goals and 30 points per 82 games.

While Gregor’s production did take a step this past season, there’s reason to think it could continue to increase with the Sharks. His shooting percentage was just 5.1 per cent, with Gregor consistently having trouble finishing off on great chances. He should be a middle-six forward with San Jose but given his speed and intensity, we could see a boost in production if he could bury more of his opportunities.
