The San Jose Sharks claimed forward Jonah Gadjovich off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks today.

Gadjovich is 22 years old and was originally selected by the Canucks in the second round of the 2017 NHL Draft. Last season, he scored 15 goals and 18 points in 19 games with the AHL’s Utica Comets and also suited up for a game with the Canucks.

Gadjovich can certainly score goals and for a team lacking quality, young forwards, picking him up for free is a win for the Sharks. It remains to be seen as to what his role may be but this is a solid, no-risk move for the team.
