Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. Here are this week’s poll results and my thoughts on how they turned out.

QUESTION: Do you think the Sharks should've traded Joe Thornton at the trade deadline?

(Votes: 244)

Yes: 93%
No: 7%

A 227-17 vote here pretty much tells you all you need to know about this one. Working out a trade is certainly easier said than done, but it really didn’t seem to make a lot of sense seeing the deadline pass and Thornton still as a member of the Sharks.

QUESTION: How do you feel about Brinson Pasichnuk joining the Sharks organization?

(Votes: 102)

Depth never hurts: 38%
Excited 32%
Indifferent: 29%

I normally don’t get overly excited about players being signed out of the NCAA, but Pasichnuk’s numbers are impressive. He’s still just 22 years old and while we’ll have to wait until next year to see how his game transitions to professional hockey, there’s reason to be excited about Pasichnuk.

QUESTION: What do you predict Martin Jones’ save percentage will be next season?

(Votes: 137)

Below .900: 60%
Between .900 and .905: 30%
Between .905 and .910: 7%
Above .910: 3%

Well, people certainly aren’t hopeful about Jones heading into next season, with 90 per cent of readers voting that they believe his save percentage will be below .905 once again. I’m still somewhat hopeful he can still recover but considering San Jose’s defense is only weaker without Brenden Dillon, I’m not betting on it.
