Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. Here are this week’s poll results and my thoughts on how they turned out.



QUESTION: Are you disappointed to see Nikolai Prokhorkin heading to the KHL?

(Votes: 169)

No: 64%
Yes: 36%

I’m with the 36 per cent here. We only got to see Prokhorkin in 43 games and there’s a good chance he could’ve been a more productive forward in a larger role. It’s not a huge loss, but he was a solid depth piece for the Kings.



QUESTION: Do you hope the Kings re-sign Joakim Ryan?

Yes: 11%
No: 89%

As I said, Ryan was fine when he did play but it’s time to get some younger players in the lineup. With Kurtis MacDermid likely to be the team’s spare, it just doesn’t make sense to bring Ryan back.



QUESTION: Do you think Austin Wagner will have a permanent spot in the Kings’ lineup again next season?

(Votes: 61)

Yes: 48%
Maybe: 34%
No: 18%

I think Wagner is a pretty good fit on the fourth line, but there are a lot of forwards to battle with for ice time. I’m with the 34 per cent who think it's up in the air, though I would like to see him with a spot in the lineup.
