Every article, I try to include a poll question for readers to vote on, then review the results from the week’s polls every weekend. I’m a day late, but here are last week’s poll results and my thoughts on how they turned out.

QUESTION: Should the Ducks consider trading Rickard Rakell as part of their retooling process?

(Votes: 69)

Yes: 67%
No: 33%

I don’t think the Ducks would head into the season looking to deal Rakell, but they should at least consider it if the season doesn’t go as planned. He’s on a great contract and would be able to bring back a good return for the Ducks.

QUESTION: Were you happy with Carter Rowney’s performance this season?

(Votes: 42)

Yes: 60%
Don’t feel strongly either way: 29%
No: 12%

Rowney has provided some solid depth for the Ducks over the last two seasons. Considering his defensive role, he’s managed to keep his production relatively high and he’s been pretty decent in the bottom-six.

QUESTION: Do you think Jakob Silfverberg will remain with the Ducks through their retooling process?

(Votes: 68)

Yes, he’s staying in Anaheim: 51%
No, he’ll be traded: 43%
It could go either way: 6%

I think this one could go either way and it really depends on the direction of the team. If Anaheim isn’t going to be competitive again in the near future, it could make sense to move him now, before his play starts to decline in the next few years.
