Los Angeles Kings prospect Quinton Byfield will be making his NHL debut against the Anaheim Ducks tonight.

Byfield was selected by the Kings with the second overall pick in last year’s NHL Draft. With the OHL season cancelled, he's spent the year with the AHL’s Ontario Reign, where he scored eight goals and 20 points in 30 games.

Byfield's debut makes him just the fourth player from the 2020 draft class to play an NHL game, behind Alexis Lafreniere, Tim Stutzle and Jamie Drysdale. The 18-year-old forward is expected to center a line with Adrian Kempe and Trevor Moore on the wings, according to LA Kings Insider’s Zach Dooley.
