KHL's conference finals are now underway and the first game was held between CSKA Moscow and SKA with Moscow side coming out victorious with a score of 2:1.

The scoring of the game was opened in the 15th minute of the game when SKA defenseman Dinar Khafizullin beat Ilya Sorokin. However, visitors couldn't celebrate for much longer as three minutes later Alexander Popov managed to tie the game. Meanwhile, the game-winning goal for CSKA was scored by Mikhail Grigorenko.

It's also notable that SKA managed to score another goal which was disallowed after a video review for a very strange reason...

While many believed that the referees were watching goaltender interference, in the end, the reason why the call was reversed came out as shocking and stupid. The play was deemed illegal due to ''Obstruction of the goalkeeper’s vision''.

CSKA's Ilya Sorokin had an outstanding game while his team faced 37 shots on goal they managed to record only 12.

Game two of the series will be played on March 30th in Moscow.
