Updated. Carl Hagelin has been extended by the Capitals for four years.
* The Islanders may have signed Eberle, but they are still very much expecting to ink Anders Lee and still have hope for Lehner as well. Most people know Lou Lamoriello rarely makes moves so early on, so getting Eberle done tells you he is right on track. Most were saying that he couldn't get Eberle AND Lee under contract...I am hearing exactly the opposite...
* Our own Bill Meltzer is reporting that the Bruins and Kevin Hayes share a mutual interest...This does make some sense, as the Flyers continue to try and get a deal hammered out.
* On the Penguins. There is talk that they are considering a deal for Panarin's rights and it is possible they could move Letang to LA or San Jose... The Sharks are looking to sign Karlsson but a move for Letang would point towards Karlsson moving on...
* I am also hearing that the Penguins have talked to Carolina about Jordan Staal...
* The Canucks are very much in the Erik Karlsson sweeps...
* I have heard the Canadiens have discussed a deal with the Vegas Knights that would send William Karlsson to Montreal...(e3)
* The Leafs are in the Trouba sweeps...(e4)
