On the Sabres and the connection between Skinner and Taylor Hall...
Talking to a source regarding the Sabres and Jeff Skinner and it appears (as Bob McKenzie has stated) we are at the make it or break it point. McKenzie is saying that he feels a deal either gets done in the next day or so or Skinner goes to Free Agency. There are teams very interested in Skinner of course...Starting with NJ, Ottawa and Dallas.
And then there is Taylor Hall. The Devils are doing all they can to extend Hall, but there are doubts that this can get done soon...Both sides want to wait a bit, and that is never a great sign, but Hall wants to see what the Devils do in Free Agency to get better and the Devils want to see if Hall is healthy again...enough to merit what may be a 90 million dollar deal in NJ.
Meanwhile, I am told the Sabres would go all in to land Hall if he is available...via trade or next July 1.
It could be possible a year from now we find Skinner is a Devil and Hall is a Sabre.
If Hall does go to UFA 13 months from now....the Rangers will be "all-in" I am told...per an Outstanding source.

The Rangers are the favorite, but Tampa is still VERY possible...I have also heard what others are reporting as well...The Canucks and Canadiens are "exploring" the possibility...San Jose could get back in...depending on Pavelski...I am not hearing Pavelski is going anywhere though...
