PLUS MINUS Is the statistic for people who think Ken Holland and Dave Tippett are a good idea. The new Coyotes ownership drama has me so pumped up it's an all positive version.

PLUS: Albums by my two favorite active bands within the span of a month. One of them - the National - even includes a song about REM - my other favorite band. Good times!

PLUS: The Unauthorized Biography of the Bash Brothers. This is the single greatest artistic achievement of our time.

PLUS: The thing where there are unlimted good David Bowie songs and you can discover a new one like every week forever and never get bored and always be amazed.

PLUS: Alan Moore wrote a book so big it could be used as self defense in a home invasion. I didn't even know he wrote a novel and I just sort of found it in the book store. I never read anything he ever wrote that wasn't a near or total masterpiece, so I look forward to reading it.

PLUS: King Joffrey. I just started watching Game of Thrones, and I hope he wins. Go KJ!!!

PLUS: The naked Karate Man in Die Hard two. It is my contention that that single scene elevates an otherwise pederstrian movie into a classic and imbues it with a Hitchcockian sense of noire............just kidding but I do love the naked karate man.

PLUS: Glass. I thought it was a wonderful and interesting movie and critics are awful and ugly humans.

PLUS: A guy told me the Leafs need more grit to git 'er done, and said that, for example gritty players like Charlie Coyle and Marcus Johansson were what the Leafs needed.

And I just have to wonder, would anyone call Marcus Johnasson and Charlie Coyle if they played for the Leafs?

PLUS: I sold about 45 copies of my book so far. It's not very many, but I am selling it under an alias and it is extremely not safe for work, so I think perhaps this is a good number. If you're reading this and want a book that critics are calling 'adequate' hit me up with a DM!

PLUS: The Raptors in the NBA Final? I wish I liked basketball more than I do, cause that is pretty sweet.

PLUS: The Smiths. Morrissey might be a complete idiot, but if you stop listening to your favorite band because you don't like the politics of the lead singer, you're a loser.

PLUS: If you don't vaccinate your kids, you should go to jail. Like, measles is making a comeback because we're too afraid to tell people they are idiots.

PLUS: Strong Motion by Jonathan Franzen. I'm a late thirties white guy with a ton of jean jackets who loves the National, so of course I'm going to recommend the latest Johnathan Franzen book that I read to you!

PLUS: Gritty for the Hart

PLUS: The Coyotes have a new ownership soap Oprah cued up for the summer. Inside sources claim they have hired the actors who used to play Cass and Felicia on Another World to perform dramatic reenactments of the ongoing saga, all summer long.

PLUS: Adam Sandler was surprisingly funny on Saturday Night Live.

PLUS: I asked my son, who is six, if he liked this Arethra Franklin song I was playing. He said not yet, but maybe I will when my saliva changes. I said what? He said when your saliva changes, all your tastes change. It's science.

PLUS: Bloodbourne. It seems as if the hunt will never end. Been playing this for weeks. Months even

PLUS: Recently bought an SUV and a Costco Membership, so like, goodbye carefree adolescence.

PLUS: I recently invested in the stock market too. Put all my money in Tower Records. I smell a comeback.

PLUS: As much as I've never been led wrong by stereotypes, I have to admit, I've never encountered a sexy librarian in the wild.

PLUS: Local news and hi-def TV. You poor bastards.

PLUS: E-40

PLUS: A new Quentin Tarantino movie? Sign me up.

PLUS: Really feeling the NHL final. On one hand, we have a team that last year traded away Paul Stansty before missing the playoffs by a single point, so we now have first hand evidence that Karma is not a real thing.

On the other, the continued success of Brad Marchand confirms this hypothesis.

PLUS: John Grissham.

PLUS: Vladimir Guerreor JR. He is fast becoming my favorite Russian baseball player.

PLUS: Leftover Chinese Food cold from the fridge.

PLUS: This blog contains 30 meaningless plus notations, as a tribute to my boy Ron Hainsey, the PLUS MINUS CHAMPION OF THE WORLD.
