Team Canada announces their roster for the IIHF World Hockey Championships

Team Canada is ready and set to compete at for the gold medal of the IIHF World Hockey Championships in Slovakia.


“It’s always a special opportunity when you get the call to represent your country on the international stage,” said Botterill. “This roster is a mix of youth and veterans who will help lead the way in this short-term competition. Our coaching staff is excited to work with these players as we get set for a competitive tournament in Slovakia starting May 10.”


The coaching staff includes head coach Alain Vigneault and assistant coaches Dave Hakstol, Kirk Muller and Lindy Ruff.

Forwards:
Sean Couturier, Adam Henrique, Dylan Strome, Kyle Turris, John Tavares, Mathieu Joseph, Sam Reinhart, Anthony Mantha, Tyler Bertuzzi, Mark Stone, Anthony Cirelli, Jonathan Marchessault.

Defencemen:
Dante Fabbro, Darnell Nurse, Shea Theodore, Damon Severson, Troy Strecher, Brandon Montour,
Thomas Chabot.

Goaltenders:

Mackenzie Blackwood, Matt Muray, Carter Hart.
