Expectations for Game 5?

In this series the home team has not won a game. It’s not some seceret fact but so far in in most of tbr playoff series home ice has not been an advantage. Now the Jets have home ice advantage with 3 games left and 2 at home- they need 2 wins. Again nothing surprising here.

However, there are again questions about what kind of game will unfold. Will fans see one like Tuesday night, a tight fast-paced game where the two goalies were the stars or maybe Sunday where one team comes out and takes control from start to finish. It coulf be something in between too such as what happened in Game 2. It’s really a guessing game.

The safest expectation here is probably another tight game with both teams trying to get a fast start and build on momentum? Yeah it’s cliché but what is left to really look at in detail? The one thing most fans will want to see is the dumb penalties by Perreault come to an end. Perreualt is a divisive player- some feel he’s over-rated while others are of the belief that he is under-used and appreicated. No matter what side you sit on his penalites have been bad and that needs to change.

If anyone needed to bottle up what they did in game 4 repeat it look no furthet than Laine. While not on the score sheet the young Finn was engaged in the game in so many ways. Keep playinbg like that and more good things are going to happen for him. Someone who needs good things to happen is Nik Ehlers. Again no goals this playoffs just like last year and the craft Dane seems to have some sort of challenge with finding a shot or taking one, and perhaps something else. To think the Jets are in this series with no contribution from him is rathet incredible.

So what’s left to do is roll the lines, manage the matchups and let the plays happen, oh and lots of shots. Keep doing what was done the last two games and force the Blues to adjust and keep adjusting.
