Sweeps Questions, Wild Fans Are Equipped to Answer |

Not to compare the Lightning's record setting regular season and subsequent playoff collapse to the Wild's inability to advance deep into the post season in each of the previous six seasons, however it does lead to an obvious question.
Is it better to miss the playoffs altogether, than to lose in a manner that is far short of the best effort in round one?
Having a whole lot of experience with early playoff exits the Wild fanbase is as good as any to answer this question, and this year may be the exact right time to ask that question with the Wild falling short in their quest to make it seven straight playoff season.
So is it easier to swallow not making it at all, once the dust settles on the first teams to exit the playoffs have been established?
From an ownership standpoint we know the answer is emphatically NO!
From the paying customer angle that feeling may be quite different.
