When the Sabres landed Jeff Skinner they did so at a serious discount because the belief was Jeff wanted to go to July 1 as a UFA....He has had great chemistry in Buffalo and shown a desire to possibly stay, but that great play has also really increased his trade value a great deal and this really puts the Sabres into a spot.
The more people I talk to the more people are starting to act like he may indeed get moved if the right offer is out there...and it actually may be...keep an eye on Winnipeg and San Jose...The team he wants to play for has long been known to be the Leafs... but would Buffalo move him to Toronto? I am making calls and will update Skinner and the rest on the Rumor Chart in the lunchtime hour.
On Panarin and Bobrovsky...
Starting to lean towards the Jackets riding this year out with them unless they are blown away by an offer...
On the Bruins...
Lots of mixed signals out of Boston. They have the pieces to make a deal, but they are having a hard time finding the right player. Ottawa doesn't look thrilled about helping out their rival and I am hearing Boston's offers on Stone, Duchene, or Dzingel would have to be far superior to the other offers for Ottawa to listen...and the other offers are pretty good. The Bruins are not in on Panarin.
Simmonds on the move?
Not likely until after the Penguins game...could still go either way...Tampa still in the driver's seat.
