On Hamilton...
There have been a ton of rumors between Carolina and Toronto this season, but sometimes in this crazy world of hockey trades it is the first thing you heard that ends up as the deal which gets done...Such is the case with Hamilton and the Leafs...We know that Dubas continues to scout Carolina personally and some in Toronto would LOVE nothing more than a deal which could finally land them a legit two-way, big D-man...A D-man, who if memory serves me, was once selected with a Leafs pick that had been traded away to Boston for Phil Kessel....According to my sources Hamilton is once again the key target for Toronto....I am sure Dubas was scouting him from Lamoriello's box the other night, but the funny thing about this is that Lou and the Islanders are also interested in Hamilton....and are probably in the 2 slot now behind Toronto (assuming Toronto is wiling to give up the asking price...The Oilers and Coyotes are a distant 3 and 4....but both have scouted hamilton.
On Flyers and Simmonds...
There were no less than 15 scouts in the building last night to witness the Flyers loss to the Penguins...One of the more interesting teams that was coming up last night was Washington...However also present scouting Simmonds was Toronto, Boston, Tampa and Calgary...The Flames might be an interesting dark horse here...
On Getzlaf...
I was as surprised as anyone yesterday when I was told be a high ranking NHL source that Vegas had serious interest in Ryan Getzlaf, and then today I was informed by a long time Ducks guy that there had been talk of this even back in the summer...I feel this will be one of the BIG stories everyone will be talking about when we get to the deadline...

Talked to a very reliable source about the growing likelihood of Bobrovsky and Panarin heading to Florida as a package deal....This source, who is always conservative, called this actually "Possible" and while that doesn't sound like much, coming from this source, a guy who almost NEVER says a rumor is possible, it is significant.
