You'll Never Guess What's Going on with the Coyotes

The Coyotes have lost two games, in two nights, effectively ending any chance they had of making the Playoffs.

Just kidding, it's the NHL and no one is ever eliminated. The Coyotes somehow are only three points back, with a game in hand, as of right now.

But, unfortunately the injury situation went from bad to worse, if that's even possible at this point hahaha

The Coyotes had seven regulars injured for their game Saturdaynight, and that was with OEL being doubtful but playing.

Chychrun who was only day to day, then was placed on the IR.

Then Goligoski got a concussion. (But he came back and did play last night).

Not sure how someone can fail a concussion test on Monday, as reported by Craig Morgan, and then play on Tuesday, but sure, whatever, I'm not a doctor.

But in Monday's game, Darcy Kuemper was hurt, as was Kevin Connauton.

So last night, the Coyotes played without:

Raanta, Schmaltz, Demers, Grabner, Chychrun, Richardson, Dvorak, Connauton and Kuemper.

Nine regulars,

Out of 19.

47% of their starting lineup.

They dressed, as their number one centre: Nick Cousins. (Ostensibly because they like Stepan in a shut-down role).

But hey, only three points out of the playoffs.
