Coyotes Get a Point and Some GOOD Injury News

The Coyotes lost last night in overtime to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Still one of the best teams in the NHL, getting a point against the Penguins is a great accomplishment.

And, the Coyotes didn't have half their roster, their coach has some strange players on the ice in OT and they had a dumb dissallowed goal.

All in all, not too shabby!

And, as if anything could be better than Duran Duran's Rio which I bought earlier in the day, the Coyotes (briefly, since Vancouver ended up winning) were only three games back of the playoffs.

That's pretty sweet no matter how you cut it. Yeah, I know they're still pretty close to the basement, and that the NHL standings make those five points pretty hard to makeup, but still, given the injuries I like what this team has done.

Speaking of injuries, the Coyotes got some good news:

Jason Demers will return this year.

Christian Dvorak might be back after the allstar break.

Both players were assumed to be done for the season, so that's great.

Now, I don't know if we'll get similar news about Nick Schmaltz or Antti Raanta, but here's hoping.
