I was working on a buyers/sellers blog that will post on Monday...we find ourselves closer and closer to the deadline...and then I spoke to a source who I trust who informed me the pundits are looking at Philadelphia the wrong way.
"There is a lot of talk that the Flyers are out of the playoff hunt and going to switch to "seller mode," however, that does not appear to be the case...at all. They are looking to buy. and Buy big...And they believe if they can get Mark Stone to Philly now they can extend him. In fact I wouldn't be shocked at all if they are given permission to talk to Stone's people now...This way the Sens can get more for him...including pieces that could help them in the short term THIS year."
My source went on to say the Flyers are heavy in buyers mode right now and are offering up prospects and picks plus 1 or 2 roster players for Stone and the would love to get Craig Anderson as well in the deal...
