Vadim Shipachyov named KHL's forward of the week

Best players of week twelves in the KHL are:

- the best goalie was Alexander Yeryomenko (HC Dynamo), who had two shutouts in two home games, against Jokerit (2:0) and Slovan (3:0), respectively. To date, his shutout streak is at 119 minutes and 57 seconds.

- the best defenseman was Evgeny Biryukov (Metallurg), who won three games of three with his team last week, scoring 3 (1+2) points and posting a plus-2 rating. The Magnitogorsk defenseman scored three points in the away game against Salavat Yulaev. Last week, Biryukov recorded five hits and one shot on goal. Playing against Avangard, Biryukov became the first player to have 700 games in the KHL.

- the best forward was Vadim Shipachyov (HC Dynamo), who scored 6 (2+4) points in three games (best result among forwards). Last week, the HC Dynamo forward had a hat-trick of assists against Torpedo, took part in six of eight goals scored by his team and climbed up to the third place in the scoring race. Shipachyov posted no negative ratings, earned a plus-3 rating, had eight shots on goal, recorded three hits and earned two power-plays for his team.

- the best rookie was defenseman Maxim Afanasyev (Lokomotiv), who won one game of two with his team last week, scoring 2 (1+1) points and earning a plus-3 rating. The 20-year-old Yaroslavl defenseman had his first multi-point game in the KHL against Neftekhimik. Afanasyev recorded an average time on ice of more than 16 minutes, blocked two shots from the opposition and had four shots on goal.
