Penguins and Ducks make a Trade

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired defenseman Marcus Pettersson from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Daniel Sprong, the teams announced Monday.

Sprong, a second-round draft pick of the Penguins in 2015 (No. 46 overall) departs the Penguins organization with four assists and 8:34 of ice-time per night in 16 appearances this season, and with four goals and nine points in 42 NHL games over the last three seasons.

Pettersson, meanwhile, will come to the Penguins with six assists and a plus-4 rating in 27 games for the Ducks this season.
