Wrapping Up The Trip Out West |

Saturday 17th Novembre, 7:00 AM my phone goes off...I don't need to sleep much and I don't really enjoy sleeping that much but 7:00 AM on a Saturday is a bit early to message me...so I grab it, ready to be annoyed and then I see the message: Patrick Roy will be at Laurier Québec this morning at 10:00, meet and greet and autographs! I don't think I've ever been less annoyed to be woken up! For those who read my previous blog, you know that Roy is my all-time favourite player and you've seen "The Wink" a unique Art piece made by an American artist. Six years after I received it, it's finally signed:
Alright, now down to business! The Canadiens will take on the Canucks tonight in Vancouver and puck drop is set at a more reasonable 19:00 ET and here's what you need to know:
-The Canucks will be trying to end a 4 game losings streak (erm...bit of déjà vu here...Edmonton Oilers anyone?);
-Bo Horvat has got 9 points in his last 9 games while Max Domi has got 5 goals and 7 assist in a 8 game scoring streak which gives him 20 points in 15 games, these will definitely be the players to watch;
-For the Canucks, you can also add the young Elias Pettersson's name to the players to watch list, the rookie is quite entertaining to watch and he's got 17 points in 15 games which is pretty good going for any player, let alone a rookie!
-Claude Julien has confirmed that Carey Price will be in net again tonight after looking like THE Carey Price in the game against the Flames Thursday. The Habs were outshot 45-22 and Price really bailed out his team. Hopefully, the Habs defence does show up tonight and Price doesn't have to stand on his head.
If the line-up is the same as it was in Calgary, we should see these lines:
Tomas Tatar -- Phillip Danault -- Brendan Gallagher
Jonathan Drouin -- Max Domi -- Andrew Shaw
Kenny Agostino -- Jesperi Kotkaniemi -- Artturi Lehkonen
Nicolas Deslauriers -- Matthew Peca -- Charles Hudon
Jordie Benn -- Jeff Petry
David Schlemko -- Noah Juulsen
Xavier Ouellet -- Victor Mete
Carey Price
Given the performance put out by the team as a whole though, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Mike Reilley back in the line-up, the morning skate will probably tell us the answer.
As for the Canucks here's a look at their line-up:
Antoine Roussel -- Bo Horvat -- Jake Virtanen
Nikolay Goldobin -- Elias Pettersson -- Loui Eriksson
Tim Schaller -- Adam Gaudette -- Brendan Leipsic
Darren Archibald -- Markus Granlund -- Tyler Motte
Ben Hutton -- Erik Gudbranson
Derrick Pouliot -- Christopher Tanev
Michael Del Zotto -- Troy Stecher
Jacob Markstrom
Richard Bachman
I'll update this with any new info as time allows but until then, Go Habs Go!
