Another week, another list of best players of the week in the KHL and a familiar rookie has earned some honors.
- Best goalie was Ilya Konovalov (Lokomotiv), who won three away games with his team last week, with two shutouts. His shutout against SKA was his first game with a clean sheet in the KHL. Last week, Konovalov posted a saves percentage of 97,56% and a goals-against average of 0,67.
- Best defenseman was Eric Gelinas (Slovan), who won three games with his team last week, with two of them being on the road. He scored three (1+2) points, getting game-winning goal honors against Sibir. The Canadian defenseman, at his first season in the KHL, scored points in all last week’s games; posted no negative ratings, finishing the week with a plus-2; and had 12 shots on goal.
- Best forward was Robert Rosen (HC Sochi), who had four (3+1) points in three games, with two of them being on the road. The Swedish forward recorded points in all last week’s games and scored a double, including the game-winning goal, against Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. Rosen ended the week with no negative ratings, posting a plus-3 rating, with nine shots on goal and blocking 4 shots.
- Best rookie was defenseman Alexander Romanov (CSKA), who won two games last week with his team, posting a plus-1 rating and recording an assist. The 18-year-old defenseman had an average time on ice of 14 minutes and 39 seconds.
