Golden Knights prospect named KHL's best forward of week five

The fifth week of the KHL season has concluded and the league has name it's best players during that time.

- Best goalie was Lars Johansson (CSKA), who won two away games with his team, with one shutout and only one goal allowed. In these games the CSKA goalie posted a saves percentage of 97,98% and a goals-against average of 0,50.

- Best defenseman was Patrik Hersley (SKA), who won all three away games with his team last week, scoring seven (2+5) points (best numbers of the week among defensemen). In the Saturday’s game against Jokerit, Hersley scored a double and amassed a total of four points. The Swedish national had points in each game played last week. Moreover, he posted no negative ratings, earning a plus-4 for the week and having 10 shots on goal.

- Best forward was Nikita Gusev (SKA), who won all three away games with his team last week and scored seven (1+6) points (best numbers of the week among forwards). The SKA St. Petersburg’s forward scored points in each game played last week, posted no negative ratings and earned a plus-2 for the week.

- Best rookie was forward Nikita Mikhailov (Sibir), who scored two (1+1) points in two games last week. He also potted the game-winning goal in the Sunday’s game against Dinamo Riga. The twenty-year-old Sibir Novosibirsk forward posted no negative ratings, earned a plus-2 for the week and had an average time on ice of 16 minutes and 24 seconds.
