# 8. Arizona Coyotes

I know the Coyotes were really strong down the stretch last year but I still feel this team is missing some key components.. I like a lot of their young talent and Raanta was as strong as anyone in goal over the last several months of the season....

Best Case: They continue to grow and battle for a playoff spot...

#7. Vancouver Canucks

I am such a fan of Elias Pettersson and I hate putting this team in 7th...They could be as high as 4th..I just need to see the goaltending come through...If it does, who knows?

Best Case: The Canucks either make a playoff run of get in the Hughes sweeps and bring the brothers together.

#6. Anaheim Ducks

The Ducks should be way better than this, but they have been trending in the wrong direction in my opinion....the injury to Perry is a big one, and the defense is still very suspect...And I am not feeling it from the Gibson/Miller combo either...

Best case: Everyone else seems to love Anaheim, so I could be horribly wrong...

#5. Vegas Golden Knights

I think the Knights could still be a force...I want them to be the same force...But I am not sure the 30th oldest team in the NHL will still be able to play at that same pace and that the rest of the NHL may not catch up to them a bit.

Best case: The Magic continues.

#4 .Calgary Flames

The Flames are another team that could finish almost anywhere in this division...Gaudreau and Monahan can be as dangerous as any combo in the NHL, but consistency continues to be a huge problem in Calgary...Will Bill Peters change that part of this culture? I am thinking he will ...He has been brought in to do just that, and he has more to work with than he did in Carolina...

Best case: The Flames bring it and we see get a "Battle of Alberta" playoff series.

#3. LA Kings

The way the Kings went down last year was pretty shocking...Adding Kovalchuk will at least help them with some speed, I think...but then I could be way off here too...This division is just so difficult to predict folks...On any given day I would probably put these teams into a different order...but for now I get the feeling the Kings have enough character players and Jonathan Quick is ALWAYS a star...

Best case: I think third place, where I have them, IS the best case scenario.

#2. San Jose Sharks

I love the Karlsson addition and there is no doubt this will be a team to beat in the regular season and even grow more dangerous come playoff time...They will have a great season in San Jose, but fall just short of the top spot...

Best case: They adjust to Karlsson early and dominate...

#1. Edmonton Oilers

I know I shouldn't be putting these guys here. They were terrible last year and they really didn't do anything on the ice to make us believe they will be any better...Except they will be. I just feel they will be. The only change made was bringing in a new group of assistant coaches? I had the Oilers in first last year at the beginning of the season...so why am I doing this? Just because we all know how this sport works, right?

Best case: The Oilers are for real again.

That's it...what say you?
