The Pittsburgh Penguins have reduced their training camp roster to 27 players, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Pittsburgh assigned 18 players to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, including forwards Tobias Lindberg, Jimmy Hayes, Adam Johnson, Joseph Cramarossa, Thomas Di Pauli, Teddy Blueger, Sam Miletic, Sam Lafferty, Anthony Angello, Linus Olund, Garrett Wilson and Ryan Haggerty; defensemen Chris Summers, Stefan Elliott, Will O'Neill, Jeff Taylor and Ethan Prow; and goaltender John Muse.
Lindberg, Summers, Muse, Elliott, Hayes, Prow and Wilson all must clear waivers before they can join WBS.
The Penguins also terminated the contract of forward Frederik Tiffels.
