Hockey is finally back after a horribly long hiatus (one of several reasons I don’t like summer), which means we finally get to see the LA Kings play some hockey.
Per Jon Rosen, their lineup tonight against the Arizona Coyotes will be the following:
SC1: Pearson-Carter-Toffoli
SC2: Clifford-Amadio-Brodzinski
SC3: Etem-Thompson-Morrison
SC4: Mitchell-Sutter-Eyssimont
DF1: Phaneuf-Walker
DF:2 MacDermid-LaDue
DF:3 Clague-Fantenberg
Interestingly, the Kings’ de facto second line is completely intact, while the rest of the team being iced is a mashup of the team’s fourth line and prospect pool, without the likes of Anderson Dolan or Gabe Vilardi (apparently Vilardi is still hurt).
Hopefully, we’ll get to see both Dolan and Vilardi before the preseason winds down. I’d also like to see Daniel Brickley get some time.
Since the second line is in full swing, I’ll have my eyes on them - if I can find a way to watch the game deep in the bowels of Virginia’s commonwealth. I’ll be interested to see what MacDermid can do as well.
