It's KHL and people love to talk in multiple languages because it's cool and you might need to buy a burger in McDonald's or whatever. Geoff Platt played in Belarus against home Dinamo team representing the colors of Jokerit Helsinki. Toronto born Canadia used to play for the Minsk team for five seasons and acquired Belarusian citizenship which has allowed to represent him the country in five world championships.

The game ended 1-0 for Platt's Jokerit team and he was the one to score the lone goal. Heading into the intermission Platt was invited to give an interview to the TV screw and he wasn't shy to give his answers in Russian. ''At the beginning of the game, we played some simple hockey. On the power-play, we played careful hockey but I managed to score the goal. Minsk has some great fans, I've spent five years playing for them and I'm very happy about the time spent here. We won't sit back in the game and we will continue to make sure that we feel better in the second period'' he said.
