This will undoubtedly be a controversial thread, so please give our mods a break....state your opinions FOR SURE, just keep it clean please...

Slava Voynov injured his achilles yesterday in Russia and since he is still without a contract in the KHL this injury may make that way more difficult...

He still wants to play in the NHL remember, but the controversy surrounding this is growing...and now teams may have enough of an excuse to "Not Even Go there," as one source stated to me...

I have been clear about this...I am against any NHL team bringing this guy in. There is simply no reason to do so and the distraction would be insane on the franchise...Also, a guy with his past abuses towards women should have no place in our game. None whatsoever.. There are so many young and talented future NHL players out there champing at the bit and to think he could be taking a job and potentially stealing a dream from a kid who has worked hard for the chance to lace them up in the NHL is atrocious...

And yet...I was hearing before this injury occurred...that it was possible and a few teams were considering it...my hope is that will die out quickly now...

What say you?
