Paul Fenton has achieved his biggest offseason tasks with Jason Zucker now signed for 5 years at 27.5M and and AAV of 5.5M.

Both Zucker and Matt Dumba were must sign players for the new Wild GM. Zucker and his 33 goals and Dumba with his 51 points are homegrown talents that are just now scratching the surface of what they both will become.

If either player had been moved the return would have needed to be significant to replace the known quantities that both Zucker and Dumba bring to the table.

But more than the numbers both Zucker and Dumba are guys that are not afraid to speak up and both play a significant role in the community outside of the rink.

Job well done by Fenton and the roster looks set barring an unforeseen deal prior to training camp

I firmly expect Paul Fenton to put his stamp on the roster, but that appears to be something that will take place after the season starts.
