It's finally free agency day, and happy Canada Day to everyone up north!

As of Sunday morning, John Tavares still has yet to decide on where he will be playing next. With no deal being made prior to the end of the night Saturday, Tavares can no longer sign a eight-year deal with the Islanders. At this point, it appears as if Tavares will be leaving the Islanders for one of the other five teams involved. The max a team can sign Tavares to is seven years.

Be sure to keep it here throughout the day for any Bruins related news.

In a press release, the Bruins confirm the signings of Wagner, Halak, Moore and Nordstorm. They've also signed Cody Goloubef to a one-year, two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $650,000; signed forward Mark McNeill to a one-year contract with an cap hit of $650,000 and signed defenseman Axel Andersson to a three-year entry-level contract with an annual cap hit of $825,833.

Needing some help on the left side of their defense, the Bruins have signed former Devil John Moore to a five-year deal. The contract comes with an AAV of $2.75. Moore could slide into a top-four role for the Bruins. Could this lead to a trade of Torey Krug?

Bruins lose out on Tavares sweepstakes. The former Islanders captain is heading north to Toronto and the Maple Leafs

*12:25PM
The Bruins and Golden Knights were reportedly in a bidding war for defenseman Nick Holden, but it looks like Vegas has won. Holden is going to Vegas on a two-year deal.

*12:13PM
Bruins sign 26-year old bottom-six forward Joakim Nordstrom to a two year deal worth $2 million. Nordstorm has spent the last three seasons with the Hurricanes where he has 19 goals in 228 games.

*12:03PM
Halak deal comes in at two-years $2.75 Million per season. Seems like a real lot for a backup goalie.

Chris Wagner to sign two-year deal with the Bruins

Wagner spent last season with the Ducks before being traded to the Islanders. The native of Walpole, Massachusetts set career highs in goals with seven, assists with nine and points with 16 in 79 games.

Wagner is known more for defensive skills as a forward and is a guy who loves throwing the body around. Wagner's 253 hits only trailed Milan Lucic for the league lead in hits.

Bruins replace Khudobin with Jaroslav Halak

To replace Khudobin, the Bruins will be signing Jarolslav Halak to a two-year contract.

The 33-year old Halak appeared in 54 games with the Islanders last season where he posted a 20-26-6 record, with a 3.19 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage.

The veteran netminder's season was nothing pretty a season ago, but the backup role should fit Halak nicely, especially with a much better defense in front of him.

Anton Khudobin to Dallas

It's a reported 2 year, $5 million deal. It was also believed that the difference in what the Bruins offer was and what Khudobin is about to get in Dallas was a slim $50K.

Austin Czarnik to head west

According to Elliotte Friedman of SportsNet, Austin Czarnik will be signing a two-year contract in Calgary that will pay him $1.25 million per season.

Tim Schaller won't be back

After two seasons with the Bruins, Tim Schaller and the Bruins will be parting ways. The New Hampshire native had 19 goals and 17 assists in 141 games for the Bruins across the two seasons. Multiple reports have Schaller landing in Vancouver with the Canucks.
