Coming off a three-night break following a 4-1 home loss to Winnipeg on Monday, Ken Hitchcock's Dallas Stars (8-7-0) host Doug Weight's New York Islanders (8-5-2) at the American Airlines Center on Friday night. Game time is 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest.

The Stars are expected to feature some line changes on Friday. In an effort to get more balanced scoring, team captain Jamie Benn (8 goals, 7 assists, 15 points) will be split up from Tyler Seguin (8 goals, 7 assists, 15 points). Alexander Radulov (5 goals, 8 assists, 13 points) will remain with Benn but the third player on the unit is expected to be Gemel Smith. Seguin will likely center a line with Mattias Janmark and Devin Shore.

Defenseman Marc Methot has missed the last two practices with a lower-body injury. He is questionable for Friday's game. Injured forwards Brett Ritchie (upper body), Tyler Pitlick (upper body) and Radek Faksa (lower body) will all remain out of the lineup with Ritchie and Pitlick seemingly a little closer to returning.

The Islanders enter this game coming off a 2-1 overtime home loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday. Former Oiler Jordan Eberle notched the lone New York goal. As expected, John Tavares (12 goals, 6 assists, 18 points) holds the Islanders' scoring lead through the first 15 games of the regular season.
