Uncle Lou has made, yet another, "strategic" move in bringing in Tuommo Ruutu.
Loktionov and a conditional 3rd going Carolina's way.

Initially, I like this deal to add depth up front... but at a hefty price tag with a $4.75M tag for the next two years.

I will leave my detailed comments for after the trade deadline. Curious if Uncle Lou will lay down the hammer.

Things quiet on the Brodeur front. He wants to play but he wont be given away.
What can you get for a 40+ year old, upcoming UFA (oh, and the best goalie to play the game)? Maybe a 2nd rounder? I would keep him.
*** If Marty is traded, the Devils need a competent backup (Kinkaid is not the answer in the playoffs)
