1-1 after two periods

Here's who's looked good....

Antero Niittymaki -- For some reason, he gets ramped up to play against two goalies - Martin Brodeur and Kari Lehtonen. And he's doing it again today - a couple of great saves in the second period to keep the Flyers in it (one on the Scott Gomez deflection and one on a Jamie Langenbrunner one-timer).

Ryan Potulny - Let the kid play! His goal wasn't a thing of beauty, but he's looking more and more confident each game. Someone in the press box here todayt said Potulny reminds him of a young Mark Recchi. The Flyers can only hope.

Peter Forsberg - After he was called for diving (bad call by the way) he began playing with a purpose.

Scott Gomez - Playing well in front of his folks who made the trip in from Alaska. On his goal, mom was'nt paying attention and missed it. When she heard dal yell, she started cheering and clapping... and then, leaned over to her husband and said, "What happened?"

Colin White - Playing a phyiscally intimidating game, unnerving several Flyers players. Flyers fans can only wish they had a guy like him on the blue line.

Dmitry Afanasenkov - I'm going to begin the push now for the Flyers to re-sign him. He's not a big offensive threat, but a defensively responsible checking line winger.

Sami Kapanen - playing well on the top line. Biggest news about him is he's said recently that he waants to come back next year and not retire. Paul Holmgren confirmed that, and admitted the Flyers would try to resign him to a multiple-year contract and that he would be the one unrestricted freee agent at the end of the season that the Flyers will not trade at the deadline.
