It likes as though Martin Gerber won't get a chance to redeem himself after his average play yesterday.

Alex Auld will start in goal for Ottawa when they face the Pittsburgh Penguins in their 2nd game in as many nights.

Thoughts?

Keep in mind, Auld hasnt played a game for 9 days, if he doesnt play today, then it could be awhile before he plays again. Sens dont play until next Saturday night and then are off for another 6 days after their home opener. Auld would be looking at 3 weeks between his last pre-season start and his first regular season start. Auld will probably start against Phoenix on Oct. 17th with Boston in town the next night.

Back after the game with a postgame blog.
