Here with a quick (and late) blog for tonight’s game.
The Panthers have chosen to slip into their old habit of not putting in a complete 60-minute effort. It seems they either come out sluggish and pay for it (Chicago), or come out hot and take the foot off the gas (Columbus). Granted, they beat CBJ, but Florida should have never let them back in, let alone have the game go to OT…
Now that I think about it, it’s really not slipping back into an “old habit.” This is just who these guys are — and have been for years. Majority of games feel like they will be a toss up, and this young season is proving no different. Hey, they didn’t get the moniker “The Cardiac Cats” for no reason.
And so they face-off tonight against a confrence rival in the 5-4-1 Washington Capitals. The Caps have experienced their own version of Jekyll and Hyde this season, as they are off to a Rocky star themselves, currently sitting in the middle of the Metropolitan Division. In some ways they are similar to Florida in both division positions (both 5th) and play/results.
Look for these lines tonight:
Hey, Cats are on National TV tonight!
