I’m hearing lots of talk regarding this today. It’s been out there for a couple days in the ether, but today it seems to be getting more serious. There are more names involved, and picks, But these were the key players. I have heard some talk about a bigger deal they would also send Conor Garland to Columbus as well.
Tyler Bertuzzi…
His name has been out there for a while. He has a lot of value, and the feeling is the Wings would move him for the right price. The kings have had interest for a while, as have the Panthers, but it’s the Maple leafs now who are taking the lead I’m told. The Leafs are definitely gearing up to play Tampa in the opening round and Bertuzzi would be a key factor should they have reversal of last year’s playoff results…
On Edmundson….
He did leave last nights game with an injury, which is definitely concerning because Montreal he’s looking hard and can get quite a ransom for him. Currently he’s listed as day to day. After Chychrun, he might be the most valuable defenseman at the trade deadline…. Teams love him because of how he played in the playoffs a few years back, when he took Montreal ON his back and times. The Wild and Sabres have interest but its Edmonton who has had the most talk with Montreal per sources. That can be one of two things. They are closer to getting him, or they know the price is too high and they can’t get him. I’m looking into both possibilities.
On Bonino
In many ways he’s your perfect rental for the playoffs. Predators, who had a nice run with him last time he was there, are definitely interested.
