The Rangers have been "fine" this season, but that's the last thing anyone at MSG wants. Afterall, this team was as close as you can get to the Stanley Cup Final last year and can skate out the best goalie in the world on most nights.

Gerard Gallant teams are rarely classified as "boring." Gallant has built success on teams that play fast and excting hockey...These Rangers are anything but that lately. And the pressure on Drury is mounting...especially when he "sort of" knows Patrick Kane wants in. Do you wait for that move until the deadline, hoping you stay healthy and your team is in striking distance, or do you pull the trigger before the Christmas freeze?

A source of mine who is VERY much within the Rangers organizatyion says the internal debat about just that has already started...

The Rangers need to do something...They could make a more minor move and wait, but a few teams I talked to who talked to them about those kinds of deals say ot is obvious the Rangers are holding out their best trade chips for Kane....

So...what is next Mr. Drury?
