Anaheim visits the XCEL Energy Center today as the Wild wrap up their 7-gmae homestand. The team is coming together better of late and have an opportunity to make it three wins in a row for the first time this season.

Kirill Kaprizov has simply been on fire with his 10-gake point streak including the last four with multiple points in each. The secondary scoring is still an issue and finding a complement to team up with Matt Boldy is a big issue.

Dean Evason says that if the team limits the opposition like they have been the need is not as great. Nice idea in theory, but reality tells us otherwise. Teams will limit the chances that the Wild top line gets and the results will not be so favorable.

We know Bill Guerin will be working the phone lines to get some help, and I am going to throw a name out there that he should target. A call to former Wild and current Flyers GM, Chuck Fletcher, to discuss Morgan Frist.

Frost has been severely mishandled since being drafted by Philadelphia with the 27th pick of the 2017 draft. The pending RFA, can be had The 23-year old Frost has been a scored at every level and provided the right opportunity he could fit very nicely in the Wild top 6 at a very reasonable price with his $800K cap hit.

Many hockey experts have pegged Frost to be a very good NHLer, and to the disappointment of Flyer fanes they also say that it will be with another NHL team. It would be great for that team to be the Minnesota Wild.

No easy games in the NHL, but the Wild get a favorable matchup today and must take xare of business before they hit the road for the next four.

It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
