The Hawks dropped their 7th in a row this past Sunday when they where steam rolled by the Winnipeg Jets 7-2. After the game, the team held a players only meeting to try and figure out what needs to be done to end this skid. For the Tank for Bedard crowd, this is the best case scenario. However, if you are a fan who still wants to watch at least a little competitive hockey, its a rough period that’s going to get rougher over time.

Quick Notes
~ Sam Lafferty (back) and Jarred Tinordi (hip) will miss at least a week with Tinordi potentially missing more.

~Stalock has eased up on conditioning as he works his way back from his concussion. He has been out since November 1st and looks like it will be a bit longer.

Next Up, Edmonton Oilers 12-10-0 4th in Pacific Division, 1st Wild Card Spot

This is an Oilers team that is struggling to get these going this year; they are currently hanging on to a wild card spot by the hair so you know they are going to look to take advantage of facing the struggling Hawks. We all know who the Oilers are, and as long as McDavid and Draisaitl are feeling it, you know where their offense is coming from. The biggest question mark for them continues to be goaltending as they just can’t find the right guy to carry them.

Players to Watch
Connor McDavid 17 goals 22 assists 39 points
Leon Draisaitl 13 goals 20 assists 33 points
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins 9 goals 14 assists 23 points

Projected Starter
Stuart Skinner 5-5 2.80 GAA .919 SV%

The Hawks will have a bit of a different look if the line rushes at Tuesday practice stick. Toews and Kane will be reunited with Coach Richardson saying “I know its been done before, but I haven’t done it”. This will be the first major change for the top 2 lines this season as Richardson has stuck with Athanasiou-Domi-Kane for the whole season. Also expect Soderblom to get the nod in net for this one.

Its a late local puck drop at 830pm central with the game being broadcast on TNT and will have an old friend Eddie O, a part of the broadcast team. Does the streak end or does the standings free fall continue?
