The preseason kicks off today for the Calgary Flames with a pair of split squad games against the Canucks. One game takes place in Calgary at 6:00pm MST and the other game starts at 5:00PM MST. Let’s take a look at the projected lineups.

In Calgary

Huberdeau-Lindholm-Toffoli
Dube-Backlund-Coleman
Eakin-Zary-Milano
Sutter-Bishop-Duehr

Hanifin-Andersson
Mackey-Weegar
Poirier-Poolman

Vladar
Dansk

In Vancouver

Lucic-Rooney-Ritchie
Pelletier-Ruzicka-Phillips
Pospisil-Schwindt-Lewis
McLain-Jones-Klapka

Zadorov-Meloche
Valimaki-Stone
Gilbert-DeSimone

Wolf

A first look at the Huberdeau-Lindholm-Toffoli line. A first look at McKenzie Weegar as a Flame — on a pauring with Connor Mackey no less. The Canucks and Flames are clearly reserving their more entertaining players for the home crowd, but it’s funny that Lucic, Ritchie, Pospisil, Klapka, Zadorov and Meloche are all playing in Vancouver. That’s a miserable group to play against.

Here is the expected Canucks lines in Calgary.
