Per Chris Johnston, Luke Kunin has been traded to the San Jose Sharks.

He appeared to be a Hynes favorite as he was constantly in the lineup last year despite his lack of production and less than ideal timing for penalties. The potential was always there, but the production could never catch hold. He's a good player, but I think this is a good move to give him a good start as he is an RFA this summer and the Preds need to make bigger moves (in addition to a Forsberg signing) if they are wanting to become more competitive. This leaves the Preds at roughly $18m in cap space to re-sign Forsberg and make other changes whether via trade or FA.
