Today the Wild announced the re-signing of forwarx Connor Dewar to a 2-year one way contract with an AAV of $800K per season.

Dewar earned his way into the Wild lineup after being recalled from Iowa back in late October. The rookie winger showed grit, speed, and a willingness to get his nose dirty in the greasy areas of the agame.

In a limited role, Dewar contributed two goals and six points in 35 games, to go along with 48 hits and 22 blocked shots. Dewar can play up and down the lineup and will be a key asset in the Wild's bottom six forwarda. The $800K per season is also key for the Wild as the cap crunch gets sorted through.

This is a critical Summer for Bill Guerin and his staff and Dewar is part of the solution with his minimal cap hit and his upside potential.
