The San Jose Sharks announced today that they’ve re-signed forward Alexander Barabanov and defenseman Jaycob Megna.

Barabanov’s deal is for two years and carries a $2.5 million cap hit. The forward is 27 years old and scored 10 goals and 39 points in 70 games in his first full season with the Sharks, a pace of 46 points per 82 games. Barabanov's contract comes with a 10-team no-trade list.

Megna is 29 years old and ended up getting into a lot more action with the Sharks than expected this season, playing 44 games and registering eight points. His contract is also for two years and carries a $762,500 cap hit.

Both players were pending unrestricted free agents.
