1)On the weekly "Mondays with Meltzer" edition of Flyers Daily, Jason Myrtetus and I discussed
Exit Day, Part 1 of the biggest offseason question marks facing the Flyers heading into the offseason, the concept of what it actually means to become "tougher to play against", why the Flyers are likely caught somewhere in the middle of "aggressive retool" and rebuild mode, whether Joel Quenneville's potential attempt at NHL reinstatement would or would not be a game-changer for teams looking to hire a head coach this offseason, and more.

2) Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher and Mike Yeo will speak to the media on Tuesday at the FTC in Voorhees. The press conference is expected to begin at 11 a.m. EDT.

3) The Flyers finished 29th in the 32-team NHL, which will give the Flyers the default fourth overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft with a 9.5 percent chance of winning the first overall selection (a virtual lock to be Kingston Frontenacs center Shane Wright). Depending on how the lottery draws play out, the Flyers could drop as low as -- but no further than -- the fifth overall pick.

On Sunday, Dave Hakstol's Seattle Kraken took a 3-1 lead over the Winnipeg Jets into the third period but found a way to lose in regulation, 5-4. Otherwise, Seattle would have bypassed the Flyers for 29th in the final NHL leaguewide standings and Philadelphia would have slid up to the default 3rd overall pick/ 3rd highest draft lottery odds (11.5 percent).

The 2022 NHL Entry Draft, which will be held in Montreal, is on July 7-8, 2022. Will the Draft being more than two months away, we'll have plenty of time to discuss Draft candidates after the NHL's lottery for the first and second overall picks is held on May 10. From a Flyers standpoint, my own Top 5 order of preference is as follows: 1) Wright, 2) Juraj Slafkovsky (high ceiling winger with skill and physical maturity), 3) Logan Cooley (dynamic skill and high degree of hockey sense), 4) Simon Nemec (high-upside Slovakian defenseman already playing against grown men successfully), 5) Joakim Kemell (sniping Finnish winger; watching the U18s Worlds influenced the move into my personal Top 5, I admit).

4) Reminder: The Flyers Alumni Guest Bartender fundraising event for Snider Hockey will take place tomorrow evening 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. EDT at the Great American Pub in Wayne, PA (4 West Ave.). Participating Flyers Alumni include Bernie Parent, Bob Kelly, Joe Watson, Brad Marsh, Terry Carkner, Ed Hospodar, Neil Little and Lou Nolan. Local media participants include Al Morganti, Glen Macnow, Sam Carchidi and yours truly. There may another addition or two.

All of the participants, except Bernie (who will on meet-and-greet detail throughout the evening) will spend 20 minutes behind the bar and otherwise mixing and mingling. Bob Kelly is my "shift linemate" behind the bar from 5:20 p.m. to 5:40 p.m.

Hope to see you there. One hundred percent of the proceeds including guest bartender tips will be donated to the Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation. Admission tickets can be purchased at the door or pre-purchased here.

Oh, and if you want a mixed drink, the REAL bartenders from the Great American Pub will take care of you. The guest bartenders are on beer and wine detail. Admission tickets include
light appetizers, beer/wine, a raffle ticket for prizes, and a 15% off dine-in voucher.
