Jesper Bratt deserved better. His performance has been stellar thus far this season and his 10 goals and 22 assists leads the Devils in points. New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad won the vote in the Metropolitan Division but will not attend. Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jake Guentzel will take his place after finishing 2nd in the voting. At the end of the day, Devils fans don’t need a popularity contest to tell them that Bratt is an All-Star caliber forward.

Besides, can the NHL please release the voting results of how many people voted and for which players?

Bratt came to the Devils in 2016 via 2016 NHL draft in the 6th round. After a great training camp, he made it onto the Devils opening night roster along with Nico Hischier in 2017. He has been an underdog his entire career and maybe one of the most underrated players in the NHL. Bratt will be voted into the All-Star game eventually.

Just not this year.
