Preds Return To Action In Montreal |

Tonight the Preds finally return to action as they finish their road trip in Montreal after an extended break this week following the COVID-caused postponement on Thursday.
The team will welcome back Nick Cousins to the lineup as he has been activated to the 23-man roster having been on IR. Cole Smith has been returned to Milwaukee as a result of Cousins' activation.
The game in Montreal will be a great test for the Preds to rebound after the tough loss in Toronto. It will be interesting how the team responds from a game where the bounces, and general effort, did not go their way for the most of the night, absent a superb Saros performance. Montreal has been struggling as of late, having lost their last 4 and going 1-7-2 in their last 10. The Canadiens will be fighting for a win to turn around this rough stretch, while the Preds will be coming off an extended break hoping to end their losing streak at 1.
The effort remains there with Saros performing well. The big issue is limited opportunities and continued shots against adding up forcing Saros to be perfect every night. Players are taking chances, which is a bright spot to witness. However, if these chances are not capitalized and Saros is not perfect, as in 0 GA, it can result in unfortunate results as we saw in Toronto where superb goaltending was still not enough to reach a positive result.
The team needs to continue to bare down and fight for results. Tonight will be a great game before the boys return home for 4 of their last 5 to end this grueling November. Day-by-day is the test. Another day is currently at hand.
