The first half of this blog featuring the news about Kyle Beach is a series of tweets to highlight the interview and comments from yesterday. These tweets stand for themselves so you can formulate your own thoughts and perspectives on the matter. There are great news sites with thorough coverage that is still continuing today and beyond.

After showing much emotion as well as courage yesterday and over the last several months and years, may peace and healing find Beach, justice reign supreme for the victims, and lasting positive change find its way into the Blackhawks organization, the NHL, the NHLPA, and the sport of hockey at all levels.

Thoughts & Notes

* Seth Jones was steady in all zones with quick, instinctual, and intelligent moves to defensively negate developing plays and to advance the puck offensively; also, he made several subtle plays that either killed the other team's momentum and generated momentum for his team.

* Last night was Jake McCabe's best game as a member of the Blackhawks by virtue of him maintaining tight gaps, blocking shots, deflecting pucks, wielding an active stick, and playing the body.

* Constantly vocal on the ice barking and pointing out directions to his teammates, Ian Mitchell turned in a respectable defensive effort despite still standing to gain more strength.

* Dominik Kubalik struggled with puck control and passing all night but his effort and hustle were still present, especially backchecking after team turnovers and rubbing out the opponent along the boards.
