Last night, Adam Vingan of The Athletic reported what many of us had already been anticipating, though many also not necessarily wanting the end result to be.
The Preds have finalized their final 23-man roster. Matthieu Olivier has been placed on IR and his $750k salary will not be put up against the cap, for whatever that's worth. This leaves roughly $9.57 million in cap space according to PuckPedia.

Of course, what this team produces on the ice is the ultimate barometer. But I do not initially hate this roster from the start. A team that buys into a system can do some pretty great things. We shall see as the Preds take on the Seattle Kraken on Thursday, October 14, at 7pm CST at Bridgestone Arena. I'll be in attendance and I look forward to what's to happen.
Seattle open their inaugural season tonight in Vegas. They currently have 5 players in COVID protocol, including former Pred Calle Jarnkrok. Hopefully he will be eligible to play Thursday along with all the other Kraken.
