Just days after deputy commissioner Bill Daly said last week that the NHL expects 98% of players to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the start of the season, it's been confirmed that all Bruins players and staff have been fully vaccinated.

This report was confirmed by general manager Don Sweeney to The Boston Globe.

Earlier this month defenseman Connor Clifton revealed on instagram that he had tested positive for COVID-19 while on his honeymoon.

Clifton broke the news by posting a photo of his wife, Amanda, lying on a hotel room couch with a mask on. The caption read: “When you get covid on your honeymoon and your wife hates you for the very first time.”

The league recently released their COVID related protocols for the upcoming season, with rules more harsh for those who are unvaccinated. The rules are a clear attempt to push those who have not yet received their COVID vaccine to do so.

Under these protocols, teams can suspend unvaccinated players without pay if they cannot participate in hockey related activities due to COVID protocols. Unvaccinated players will not be awarded some of the same privileges as vaccinated teammates when they're on the road.

On the road, unvaccinated players will only be able to go to the team hotel, practice facility and game arena.

The Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes have all confirmed that all of their players are 100% vaccinated.
