The Toronto Maple Leafs: A Team of Odds and Ends

They do appear to be so. Personally, I feel like the moves they have made are fine stop gaps, but at the end of the day aren't the moves needed to push them over the edge. Depth helps, but if your main players don't contribute, you can't win. That's the untold story that the media seems to skirt around, especially during Tampa's two wins. You need everything, obviously, but if your big guns don't play well, you don't win. Ask any of the Cup winners. All of their top players were playing at the tops.

Have that and it will all work out.

PS. This is just a holdover to get a new Leafs thread up for the fans to chat. I recently recovered from a health crisis and will be posting actual substantive blogs soon. Sitting in a hospital bed gave me time to do research, I'm just figuring out what should go out first and editing it down.

Cheers, Mike, please wake up.
